Maggie Trujillo featured in Oregon Masters Swimming AquaMaster

Hello SOMA crew,

In case any of you missed it, Maggie Trujillo became the first SOMA swimmer featured in the most recent edition of the AquaMaster.  How cool!  It is fun to see and read Chef Maggie’s story in print.  See the attached Maggie Trujillo Swimmer Spotlight PDF and an online version of the article can be found here:

Congrats Maggie!
I also wanted to put out one more notice to sign up for the Applegate Lake Swim on July 14-15, if you’ve not done so already.  Online registration is here:
If you do not plan to swim at Applegate Lake, we are still in need of kayakers.  Please consider volunteering to support this amazing event.  In particular on Sunday the 15th, we are still a couple of people short and we could use a couple more on Saturday as well to allow for people to rotate more often.  Please let me know if you are available and willing to help either day.  Free lunch is included and you’ll have the best seat in the house to watch the race!!   Commitment timeline is to arrive by 7:15 AM, released around 12-12:30 on Saturday, and arrive 8:15 AM on Sunday, then released around 11:15 after the 3×500 pursuit relay; the main Sunday event, the 1500, will be over by 10:00.

Thanks in advance to anyone who is already volunteering to kayak and anyone else who commits to doing so!
